Celebrating 25 years of serving its signature fish taco, Wahoo’s Fish Taco (http://www.wahoos.com/), a community mainstay and worldwide pop culture phenomenon since 1988, announces the opening of its newest location in Woodland Hills, Calif. Located at 19960 Ventura Boulevard, the new restaurant offers all of Wahoo’s distinct signature flavors including charbroiled or spicy marinated fish, chicken, steak, and tofu fillings in a variety of items such as tacos, burritos, bowls, salads, and the original fish taco. This Southern California location is scheduled to open on Thursday, June 20.
“Ever since day one, 25 years ago, we set out to offer great food at an affordable price in a fun, relaxed atmosphere,” said Wing Lam, co-founder of Wahoo’s. “We look forward to earning loyal fans from the valley and are stoked to join the Woodland Hills community.”
The restaurant features an eclectic Mexican/Brazilian/Asian menu with a Hawaiian North Shore vibe that has made Wahoo’s a popular choice. In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Wahoo’s recently introduced a new “Citrus Slaw Taco” that offers a choice of fillings (chicken breast, carnitas, fish or carne asada) with the slaw ingredients of cabbage, cilantro, onions and carrots tossed in lime juice and olive oil.
As a San Fernando Valley native, I know that Wahoo’s will serve the valley well. With its unique concept, exceptional food and demand for quality ingredients, it really is a natural fit,” said Jane Casey, co-owner of the Woodland Hills location. “As an avid fan of Wahoo’s and experiencing the cult-like following the company has gained through the years, I aspired to be a part of bringing this delicious food and eclectic ambiance closer to home.”
The new franchise location serves as a testament to Wahoo’s growing success as the company continues to reach new markets and gain more devoted fans. The Woodland Hills location will represent the philosophies, recipes, and business model of all Wahoo’s restaurants throughout the United States.
